Thank God

I am thankful for the father who snores all night, because that means he is healthy.

I am thankful for my teenage daughter who is complaining about doing dishes, because that means she is at home not on the street.

Teachers are ....

A small child , who always sits on his mother’s lap…a little child, who knows his father is the one who will fulfill his demands….until suddenly, one day, he is taken to a place called school ! A big, tall building, full of small and big children, strange faces all over, he is shocked when his mother whispers into his ears, “Goodbye baby, it’s your school and mamma will see you in the afternoon.” Something craves inside the child when he just wants to run away from the school and cling to his mother! But there appears a smiling, calm face, “So you are my little kid. You are very sweet. Look, so many friends are waiting for you. Come on, we will play together, eat together and study together. My dear child, I am your teacher.”

our thoughts

All that we are is the result of what we have thought.
If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain will follow him.
If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought , happiness will follow him
like a shadow that never leaves him.

I believe in you

You breathe..................................New life begins
You speak.....................................And my world makes sense
That's how it is.............................When it comes to you
Your mercy has no end
You're more than just a friend
It amazes me................................You feel the way you do
I believe in you.............................And nothing else
I believe in you.............................Can't help myself
You're all the hope.......................The reason that I need
I believe in you.............................Just because
I don't need no one.......................To prove your love
For all that I have seen
It's easier for me..........................To believe in you
You are so beautiful......................You are the miracle
That dries the tears......................Heals the wounded heart
And it's so clear to see..................Your hand in everything
You are there for me....................There to see me through
Through the fire............................And through the rain
I know your love for me...............Will never ever change
I believe in you...............................And nothing less
I believe in you...............................Can't help myself
You're all the hope.........................The reason that I need
I believe in you just because,
I don't need no one
To prove your love
For all that I have seen
It's easier for me to believe in you

LOVE in the classroom

An English teacher normally brings his/her books and markers to the classroom. He/she might bring CD’s and Teachers’ Guides, too. These are the things a teacher needs to teach. But are these enough? I’m not sure… the most important thing a teacher has to teach is “the LOVE for teaching”, and “the LOVE for students”, and above all, “the LOVE for COMMUNICATION”.
You may find how to teach a conversation in a Teachers’ Guide. Your skill at speaking and understanding a language may give you power to analyze and comprehend a dialogue. But this may never make you a TEACHER. If you forget to bring your “LOVE” into your classroom, you are losing and wasting everything else. An hour and twenty minutes is a VERY short time to teach. All we can do in this very short time is to show our “love for learning and communicating” to our students. And I believe this “Love” will do the rest. Students practice and enjoy learning and open their eyes to new horizons. This, perhaps, may give us the privilege of being called a “Teacher”.

Let's get LOST

Sometimes, time can move backward. We can bring it back,we can change some parts, we can turn them into what we really want. But how?
We just need to get LOST!!!.
So let's get LOST!(Lengthen Our Speaking Thoroughly) and bring the time back, let's make LOST the TV Series Of Learning.
As you may know, Lost is one of the most popular serials in the world, various situations, conversations and expressions, make this series a reliable source for learning English. hence, we've decided to start a serial-based class in order to merge the joy of being together with stretching our borders of knowledge.

I asked God...

I asked God to take away my habit.
God said: No, it is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said: No, body is only temporary.

I asked God to give me happiness.
God said:No, I give you blessings, happiness is up to you.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said: No, you must grow on your own but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.
God said: I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me love others as much as he loves me.
God said: Ahah, finally you have the idea.

At the end of our lives

At the end of our lives we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received ,how much money we have made or how many great things we have done .
We will be judged by:
I was hungry and you gave me to eat.
I was naked and you clothed me.
I was homeless and you took me in .
Hungry not for bread but hungry for love.
Naked not for clothing but for human dignity.
Homeless not only for want of a room of bricks but homeless because of rejection.

Class Research

I personally love doing research. I think there is a great excitement in discovering and finding things no one else knows. I always think if anyone feels this excitement and unique sense of being a "discoverer", he will enjoy doing more and more research. That's why I sometimes ask my students to do research on something. But the answer is not always so good. Many of them do not know the difference between "searching" and "researching". Many bring me well-printed papers they have absolutely no idea what they are about. This makes me sad. I really don't know how I may change this bad habit...

Opportunity

A young man wished to marry the farmer’s beautiful daughter. He went to the farmer to ask his permission. The farmer looked him over and said, “Son, go stand out in that field. I’m going to release three bulls, one at a time. If you can catch the tail of any one of the three bulls, you can marry my daughter.” The young man stood in the pasture awaiting the first bull.

Learning a new language

There is a childish happiness
In learning a new language;
Like opening a window to a busy city,
And making a friend while sitting at the bus stop...
A childish happiness...
It is only the name: "learning a new language",
But if you want the truth,
It is nothing but opening a window
making a friend...
